What follows is a poem by Josiah Gilbert Holland expressing a view of honorable manhood from a bygone age. We live in a time where men are afraid to be men, and where their place in the world is often dishonored. While the loudest voices are telling us that we are no longer needed, many of our women are hungry for men to love who are strong and spiritual and principled.
We live in a world where strong men with great hearts are needed more than ever before. Our world has lost its way, and we need leaders who know how to lead and show the way. We need to stand tall and become a kingdom of priests, and a priesthood of kings. That is our destiny. Consider now this poem:
Wrong rules the land and waiting Justice sleeps."
My friends, great men need great causes. If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything. And the world will try to tear you down if you have the audacity to be leaders. Lead anyway. Don't let wrong rule the land. Certainly, don't let it rule your home. Be inspired and inspiring. Be ready to show the way.
In the mid-singles community, we have a lot of great women waiting for strong men with great hearts; and many have despaired of finding them. Some have waited a long time while some men have wasted years watching porn and playing video games, and complaining that no woman will give them a chance. Some have abused the women they should have protected. And some are broken and have lost all confidence in themselves because the women who should have loved them betrayed them instead. So many of our good men have forgotten who they are.
I am calling you to be powerful warriors for light, justice, freedom and love. I am calling you to lead. I am calling you to step up and be the kings you were born to be.
